The company was founded in 1920 as a company for processing cork. Soon, however, the production shifted to the right while the country's three-wheeledscooters trucks: over 25 years produced more than 200,000 pieces. In the postwar period Mazda has started to manufacture trucks. The first car appeared only in1960 - it was the Mazda R360 Coupe. Two years later appeared the first sedans.Exports of Mazda vehicles in the United States began with the 1964. Today the company occupies the 3rd place in Japan in terms of production. One of the distinguishing features of the company - it is used on some models, the revolutionary rotary-piston Wankel engine. Since 1981, the Wankel engine is installed on Mazda cars in the series set. Currently, Mazda produces a wide range of cars - from the small car sedans and SUVs to the middle class and high-capacity vehicles. In matters of strategy development and sales of the company is working closely with Ford. Mazda assembly plants in 21 countries allow it to export its cars in 120 countries around the world.
